Flame lamination is a modern material joining technology that involves bonding polyurethane (PU) foam with other layers using a controlled gas flame. This process involves briefly heating the foam surface, partially melting it and permanently bonding it to the next material – without the use of adhesives.
This technology allows for a strong, uniform, and durable bond while maintaining the flexibility and performance properties of the laminated materials.
In the flame lamination process, PU foam passes through a flame zone, where its surface is thermally activated. The foam is then immediately bonded to a surface material such as fabric, imitation leather, or velour. After cooling, a durable laminate is created, ready for further processing or production.
Flame lamination is widely used in many industrial sectors, including:
Thanks to this technology, it is possible to obtain materials that are resistant to intensive use and at the same time comfortable to the touch.
We offer flame lamination of artificial leather (skai) and other upholstery materials. We laminate both our own products and materials provided by the customer.
Lamination with PU foam allows you to obtain a ready-made material for the production of furniture, covers and upholstered elements.
Flame lamination of PU foams is a solution that:
Thanks to our experience and appropriate technological resources, we ensure consistent lamination quality and tailor the process to customer needs.
